SOUS June 24th - Our little ray of sunshine

It is friday again and time for a new sketch at Stuck On U Sketches! 

This week we have a fun sketch by Liz Qualman to play with. You can find the sketch and the rest of the SOUS post HERE. And here is my take on her sketch with a cute picture of our little sunshine:

I tried very hard to include the banners in the sketch somehow, but could not make it fit my theme, so I have exchanged them for some skies (from Every day paper dolls) and a sun (from Gypsy wanderings).

I have used papers from MME (So Sophie I think) and some scraps.

The tag I have crumbled, inked with distress ink Crushed Olive and sprayed with Glimmer mist. The buttons on the layout are leftovers from my Grandfathers shop (the tag too actually). 

Again I have used my cuttlebug for embossing - here the letters embossed with distressed stripes. Font is Cindy Loo. Letter stickers are from Making Memories. Title means literarily "Happy as the sun" (hence the need for a sun instead of banners...)

Sommerkort - a summer card

I finished a summer card tonight and will be joining a few challenges with this one.

Tilda is colored with distress inks. My patternes papers are from my boxes of scraps. Have used the wonderful doily lace ouch from Martha Stewart, flowers and mushrooms are from Papirloftet and the little green "rocks" are from imaginisce, fastened with my irock tool (getting mroe comfotable with it now).

Dåpskort til jente

Et lite kjapt innlegg med et dåpskort eg har laga for en kollega. Har fått testa mitt nye lille verktøy - irock fra imaginisce. Ikkje heilt 100 % fornøgd med kor godt den limte fast steinane, og det var ganske tidkrevande, men vart no fint. Kortet er ellers et staffelikort. Har brukt diverse restepapir. Tekststempelet er fra Anka design. Aner ikkje kor motivet stammer fra.

Her i nord er det tropevarme, så då er det godt å krype ned i kjelleren til scrappestæsjet på kvelden. Hihihi :)

Gratulerer med bryllupsdagen til Hilde og Halvard

Halvard og Hilde gifter seg i dag, og vi er i Mosjøen for å feire. Med oss har vi dette korter :)

Har brukt to forskjellige mønsterpapir fra Magnolia. Tekstempler er begge fra Norsk stempelblad. Bildet er funnet på nettet ig skrive ut på craft kartong. Monogramnet er laga med Cricyt gypsy og lyrical letters, og hjertene er også cricut. Har ellers brukt varmepistol og gull-embossingpulver flittig.

SOUS June 10th - 17. mai

It is friday and time for another challenge over at Stuck On U Sketches!

This week we have a gorgeous sketch by Beggahuna for you:

I have chosen some quite new pictures this time, from the celebration of the norwegian national day this May - an exciting day for a kid in Norway, with games, carousels, parades and lots of ice cream!

These are various pics of the kids from this day. 

Have used the colors from the norwegian flag - red, white and blue throughout the layout. I did not find a brand name on the patterned paper, I just remember that I got it in an LRS kit once.

Pinwheels are quite common as a kids toy on this day, so I have made some to use as an embellishment. Found a great tutorial here.

Cricut used on this layout is Storybook for title and Home Accents for the swirls. Have also used a stamp from Papirdesign as a frame for my journaling, a small retro flower punch, cuttlebug and swiss dot embossing folder and as usual a lot of pearls.

Enda et guttekort/tag

Hadde glemt å legge ut dette kortet som blei laga til nevøen min sin bursdag i mai. Måtte lage et kort kjapt, så slik vart det. Kortet er en tag fra cricut-tags, bags and boxes, die cuts er fra cricut- indy art og blackletter. Stempel er fra Ett trykk og embossa med svart embossingpulver. Bokstaver er stickers.

Konfirmasjonskort til gutt

Det er vanskelig med guttekort...Brukte laaang tid på å finne bilde til kortet, men fant til slutt dette av James Dean på nettet. Har brukt et stempel fra Tim Holz i bakgrunnen, og papirer fra restehaugen min. Die cuts er Cricut. A-en i hjørnet (fir Andreas) er Blackletter og stjernene er gode gamle George. Både monogram og stjerner har fått en tur i cuttlebugen. :)
