SOUS february 18th - Winter and snow

Time for another challenge at SOUS, this time with a sketch from pagemaps. There are some changes on our team from this week. This is the last sketch you will see Debbie and Lisa do for our team. We are sad to see them go, but we are also happy that there are four other designers joining us from today. For my layout this time I have again chosen some quite old pictures of my daughter (january 2008). The background paper has the word winter (or vinter in norwegian) written all over and is by Papirdesign - my local paper and stamp designer.

Snowflakes are from the cartridge Pooh and friends, and title is cut from Opposite attracts. Have also used some blue pearls from Inkido. Here it is again:

SOUS February 4th - SUMMER JOY

It is friday again, and time for a new challenge over at Stuck On U Sketches. For some reason I thought this sketch from Scrabooks, Etc. was going to be a difficult one for me, but I actually enjoyed it very much as soon as I found the right papers (die cut paper from Bo Bunny and an old piece of paper from MME Magnolia).

I have kept it quite simple, but I will give you a close-up of some of the details. First; my title is cut with Cricut and Zooballo. I cut it three times and layered them on top of eachother to make a kind of chipboard feel to it. Love how that turned out. The rest of the title are Making memories stickers and then I handcut some blocks and used handwriting. The chipboard arrow I found in one of my drawers...

In the upper corners I have used a cute little butterfly stamp. Have also used some lime green dewdrops around the upper edges of my mat:

I cut some butterflies from some scraps, and I also drew on faux stitching around the edges. Instead of a round journaling mat I added a circle shaped picture.

The ribbon is adhesive ribbon from DCWV:

Skissedilla #96

Henger meg på skissedilla si utfordring denne veka med denne julete LOen med Konstanse som pynter juletre jula 2008. Var liksom allereie i julemodus etter alle julekorta, og så fekk eg brukt opp litt restepapir i same slengen - dette fiiine mønsterpapiret fra Maja design!

Eg er laaaangt fra ajour når det kommer til scrapping, men syns av og til det er

utrulig deilig å ta fram slike "gamle" bilder, for tida går jo så fort.

Skulle gjerne hatt en pauseknapp innimellom...

Er ikkje så masse pynt og stæsj å snakke om ellers. Fonten eg har brukt er Cricut sin Base Camp, og ellers er det berre nokre få halvperler fra Kaiser kraft og nokre

sløyfer som pynter opp. Enkelt og greit :)

Årets fjerde kort!

Sånn heilt uoffisielt har eg et nyttårsforsett om å lage et kort og en LO kvar veke. Etter ei veke med influensa føler eg at eg vart sett litt tilbake, spesielt sidan eg ikkje fekk gjort SOUS-bidraget mitt den veka, men etter ei lita opptelling no ser eg at eg iallfall er i rute når det gjeld kort, då eg kan legge ut årets fjerde kort her i veke 4!! (for dei tre andre sjå forrige post) Har ikkje tatt noko meir bilete av det, og har vel heller ikkje så masse å seie om det anna enn at bildet er fra et utklippsark, rosene og blonden er fra Papirloftet og blada er ein punch fra Nellie Snellen. Perler er fra Inkido men mønsterpapiret husker eg ikkje kor er fra.

Hjertebodens juleutfordring - Januar!

Eg har fleire år prøvd meg på å få laga julekort sånn litt i forkant av jula. Sånn rett før jul er det evig nok å henge fingrane i, så intensjonen kvart år har vore klar - dette året skal eg vere betre førebudd!! Å overhalde dette har likevel ikkje vore like lett, men i år har eg fått meg eit lite spark bak i form av den geniale utfordringa på Hjertebodens juleblogg: Lag tre julekort kvar månad heile året. Så langt har dette for min del fungert strålande (men så er vi jo framleis berre i januar då...) og her kjem mine tre første julekort i 2011. Det er akkurat i dag 11 månader til neste julafta, og eg er herved tre steg nærare ei rolegare førjulstid!

Årets første julekort vart blått, med søte Edwin på skogstur. Mønsterpapiret er Daisy D., stjernehimmel fra Stempelglede si juleplate og fugl og ekorn kutta ut med

Cricut - Happily Ever After.

Kort nummer to har nok et stempel fra Magnolia som eg ikkje hadde brukt på fleire år. Mønsterpapiret er fra 3ndy, brads frå Papirloftet, og font, hjerter, matter og tag er cricut. Har også embossa den eine plata med cuttlebug.

Siste kortet fekk ein litt annan stil, med motiv frå eit utklippsark frå Papirloftet ogmønsterpapir frå Webster´s Pages. Brads og blonde er også frå papirloftet.

SOUS - January 7th - Peter in his sandbox

Hmmm...I tried to schedule this for publishing today at 8 am, but no success it seems. But here it is - my first layout this year :)

For my first layout this year I have chosen a sweet little picture of Peter Olai - my youngest. He loves his sandbox as you can see in this picture:

I have used papers from Panduro, from a stack of paper that I don't remember the name of cardboard and som die cuts cut with Cricut with Every day paper dolls.

have mad sand on the shovel and in the bucket with a thick layer of diamond stickles and later covered it with brown distress inks.

I have also done some stitching by hand using blue scrappers floss.

Not much more to say about my layout except that I welcome you all to join us in this weeks challenge at Stuck on U Sketches! Remember you have two weeks from today to have a go on the sketch!

Happy new year and my take on the december 24th sketch at SOUS!

I am a week late with what should have been my DT layout at SOUS for Christmas Eve. the reason for this is that I just had too much to do before i left for my Christmas vacation on the 19th, so I did not have time to finish it. Now I am back home after a wonderful vacation at my parents house. Good times with family and old friends, lots of lovely food, cold, but beautiful weather and last but not least happy children!! I love Christmas!

For my layout I have used a cute picture of my daughter and son on their celebration of Lucia (Saint Lucy's Day - a common celebration i Norway and Sweden) in their daycare/kindergarten on the 13th of december this year.

Have used some leftover tinsel (?) around the picture as the kids have this on their costumes. The letters for the title are really brown felt letters, but I used a looot of stickles on them to make them fit the rest. The swirls are actually one pearl/rhinestone swirl from Prima, but I cut it up to fit my layout better.

That was all for this year. Hope many of you will join the ongoing challenge at Stuck On U Sketches - open till January 7th! The only thing left to do is wish you all a Happy New Year, and I am doing that with this picture I took yesterday in our garden!
