This is a card I have made for Mothers day (in Norway that is this coming sunday) for my grandmother.

I have used the envelope with hear from the Doodlecharms cart.

Patterned papers are all from the newest collection from Pion design. They are just gorgeous!

It is time for a new sketch over at Stuck On U Sketches!!

Sketch i for a double layout, but I have just used one of the pages. I hardly ever do doubles, so this was the better option for me :)

I have again used pictures from our honeymoon 6 1/2 years ago in Paris.

Layout is quite simple. I used a patterned paper from Maja design for the background, a metal frame I have had for ages, letter stickers from Prima, flowers and roses from Prima, lace and two cameos I have had in my drawer for a while.

Here is a closeup of one of them. Isn't she beautiful. I think I need more of these :)

SOUS die cut challenge -Snowman

Happy friday everyone. This will be a very short post. Just wanted to show you the card I have made for the die cut challenge at Stuck On U Sketches this week, where the challenge is SNOWMAN.

I have used the snowman from the Gypsy wanderings cart. I shadowed him and gave him his accessories, including blue pearl buttons, and placed him on a patterned paper from Chatterbox. Love the clean, simple and fast card - my first Christmas card of 2012 (made in less than an hour - that is a new record for me...). Hope you take time to visit the SOUS-blog and the other girls.

SOUS sketch challenge january 20th

It seems like all I manage to post on my blog these days are the weekly challenges at Stuck On U Sketches. I cannot believe how time flies, and that is friday again already! But friday is good, and this week Nannè has created another great sketch for us. Hope you will find time to stop by Stuck On U Sketches to join us for the last sketch of January. We still have a great prize for our participants in January and this week we are also so lucky to have Debbie Burns of Love life's little pleasures back with us as a guest designer. She makes amazing layouts. Please stop by her blog to see for yourself.

Here is my take on the sketch. I made a card again. I have no pictures ready these days. My printer and I are not friends, so I might need to order some prints, but have obviously not done that yet...

My card is for a friends new baby, who I finally will get to see in a few weeks time.

I made an easel card and got to use a lot of scraps for my patterned paper. This sketch is really great for that. I wanted circles instead of squares, so used my punch for that (1 3/4 circles it is). Patterned papers are from Inkido and Papirdesign. On the circles with the rose pattern I have used crackle accents. Love how that turned out. It did not photograph well, but you can get a closer look on the next picture.

The gorgeous leaves are a Magnolia Doo Hickey (die cut) that I just got.

I just love them, and plan to use them a lot!

SOUS January 13th - Winter fun - a winter birthday card

It is Friday the 13th - I hope you are all OK ;)

This week we have a new die cut challenge for you at Stuck On U Sketches, and the challenge is

WINTER FUN.

It has to be a new project, and you need to use your die cut machine and follow the theme - other than that you are free to make anything you like :)

I chose to make a winter birthday card for my sister in law.

I have used one of my Magnolia stamps, some patterned paper from Papirdesign and Magnolia, the rabbit and the snowflakes are from the cricut cart Gypsy wanderings and the swirly cut is from Cindy Loo. Other embellishments are lots of pearls from Papirdesign and a piece of lace from my stash. I also used my Dymo for the greeting :)

SOUS January 6th -Sketch by Nanné - "Father and son"

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

We have started 2012 with chickenpox (both kids), so not much of the creative part so far, but I will catch up as soon as the pox are gone!

On the first friday of 2012 it is time for the first sketch challenge of 2012 over at Stuck On U Sketches.

This week we have a great sketch by Nanné Harrry for you.

I am quite happy with my first layout this year. I love this pictur of my husband with the newborn Peter, and I love how this turned out!

Papers are from Fabscraps (the dotted one) and Papirdesign (the damask one). I have also used some stamps from pink paislee (bird cage, butterfly, clock-border). The tag with text and the butterfly are cut from another patterned paper from Papirdesign. For my title I have used the font on the Cindy Loo cartridge (did I mention yet that I got an expression for Christmas?)

Flowers are from Prima, and I have used a lot of pearls and a bling swirl from Papirdesign.

SOUS December 30th - SNOWFLAKES

This will be a short post, and my last post for this year! I can't believe that there is just one more day to go before we write 2012. I have not done much crafting the last week as we have had visitors, but I plan to make 2012 another crafty year. I finally got my cricut expression, so am so looking forward to lots of time spent creating :) (Thanks to hubby :)

The challenge this week is SNOWFLAKE. I have used the two different snowflakes on the Christmas cart to make the snowy sky in my layout. Picture is from April 1st 2011. Last winter we had snow from october till April - it is a little milder this year, we did not get a white Chritmas, but now it is beautiful and snowy outside.

The beautiful background paper is by Maja Design, and then I have just used pearls together with the snowflakes and my Dymo for the journaling.

December 23d - SOUS sketch challenge

The days are obviously too busy - I am late again, but now the house is decorated and quite clean, I just have some more wrapping to do and then we are ready ( In Norway we celebrate Christmas Eve, so tomorrow is the big day). The christmas snow we got the other day is replaced by a rainy and stormy weather, but I am thinking that we will get the Christmas spririt anyway.

I went for a card this week too. Needed one more Christmas card, and the sketch was great for that too :)

SOUS December 16th - baking for the holidays

I am SO late with this post. I just realized this morning that it was friday already, and I had forgotten my blog post... I blame Christmas LOL
I will keep this short!

The challenge this time is Baking for the holidays. I really wanted a gingerbread man for my layout, but none of my carts had one, so I went for pictures with our annual gingerbread house instead. Pictures show Konstanse with the gingerbread house on demolition day. It is fun to decorate it, and it looks great as a decoration for christmas, but it is even better to break it and eat it hihi. I have used the house from Christmas solutions, and papers a misc. leftovers. Enjoy :)

SOUS December 9th - a sketch by Sandi Clarkson

Happy friday to you all!! Hope you will take a break from your Christmas preparations to join our challenge at Stuck On U Sketches this week. We have a gorgeous sketch by our own Sandi Clarkson for you. Maybe you have another christmas card to make or maybe new christmas pictures of the kids - this sketch will be perfect for both.

That said - I did not go for anything christmassy on my project this week... I am making something for christmas for someone, and this is the start of it, but I don't know if (s)he comes around my blog, so I cannot tell you more ;)

My project is 8x8", so not an ordinary card. Have used this very cute couple from Magnolia, and I have colored them with distress ink - only Pumice stone. Papers are from Papirdesign and 3ndy Paper. Flowers are from Prima and the lace I have picked up from my favourite craft store TreL.

Pearls re also from Papirdesign.

SOUS die cut challenge - CHRISTMAS TREE

It is December - one of my favourite months! This year I have done so much preperations beforehand, so I hope for a peaceful Advent with lots of joy, crafting and candles. It is dark most of the time now, so for me there is nothing better than making a great cup of tea, light some candles, listen to Christmas music and make something for Christmas. Hope I can inspire you to do the same.

The die cut challenge at Stuck On U Sketches this week is the Christmas tree. I know that a lot of my american friends have this up and lit already, but in Norway we don't usually decorate the tree till December 23d. Last year we spent at my parents house, and we got to cut our own tree. This year we are at home in Bodø, so we have to settle for a store bought one, but I long as I can smell the needles on the tree I am happy!

Enough chatting and on to my card: I have used one of the Christmas trees from the Christmas solutions cart for my card. I love this swirly tree. there is a quite similar one on the Lyrical letters cart, but I think this is the more elegant one.

I found a tutorial for making the folding on my card HERE. Text is in norwegian, but I think you can understand it from the scheme (she uses metric measurings). I love these "wooden" papers from Papirdesign. They are from a collection from 2010, and can be used for every season. Pearls are also from the same producer. Not much going on on this card, but that is me LOL

Et par julekort til med "Julens gleder" - DT TreL

Det er på tide med enda litt fleire julekort. Her kjem eit par til med mønsterark frå papirdesign:

På det første kortet har eg brukt et stempel fra Nellie Snellen. Dette er clear stamps med utrulig skjønne motiv - meiner dette heiter "Falling star". Har fargelagt med distress ink.

Arka som er brukt er baksida på arket juletags (det med grantrærne) og baksida på Nissefar (anbefaler å kjøpe to av kvar av dei arka her, da begge sider er like flotte!!). Tagen med god jul er også fra juletags. Har også brukt kakeserviett og halvperler fra papirdesign - begge deler er å få hos TreL.

Her har eg brukt motiv fra et av Papirdesign sine klippeark. Mønsterakr er begge sider av arket "Julebukett" og tagen med julehilsen er fra baksia av arket "Pepperkaker" fra papirdesign jula 2010 og bling swirl er også fra Papirdesign :)

SOUS November 25th - sketch challenge

It is time for a new challenge over at Stuck On U Sketches - this time with this wonderful sketch from Pagemaps.

I have had some problems with this post. As I am on vacation I had planned on using my phone to make my blogpost this week, but stupid blogwriter app just made empty posts and refused to upload my photo...I had taken a few other photos with the camera I brought with me, without photoshop I had a bit trouble cropping my photo. I finally gave up making it right - so sorry for the strange photo...

I made a simple layout out of the sketch. I love this photo, so did not want to have too much stuff going on around it (and symmetry and simplicity is me I guess LOL), but settled for the colors from his bathrobe and some bath bubbles. I have used a patterned paper from Bo Bunny. I cut a circle out of it and made a circle of liquid pearls around it. The frame around the title is a spellbinders die, and the title is written with stickers from my stash. Buttons are also just from my store cupboard.

Julepynt -DT TreL

Har enda litt ark igjen og har brukt litt rester og slikt til å lage litt julepynt. Fant maler i siste nummer av Magnolia Ink.

Artig å lage noko anna enn vanlige kort.

Aller først et lite julehus. Det er ca 5 cm høyt og ikkje store greiene, men feks passe

på eit juletre (her plassert på ein potteplante...)

Har brukt Bazill craft og baksida av arket Nissefar.

Taket er laga med Martha Stewart punchen Doily lace.

Døra er kutta ut med Cricut - Christmas,

og har fått julekrans av halvperler fra Papirdesign (mine nye favorittperler).

Det eine vinduet har fått blondegardin (TreL har utrulig masse fine blonder og bånd),

og på baksida er det bygd ein snømann (også fra Cricut - Gypsy wanderings).

Greina er stansa ut med ein punch fra McGill og pynta med halvperler.

Her er huset fra andre sida.

Stjerna er en brettemal fra samme bladet og er bretta av eit 12x12 ark (igjen bazill craft).

Har dekorert med arket Julekveld (begge sider).

Stempelet på framsida er frå Stempelglede og bakgrunnen er stansa ut med en spellbinders dies.

På baksida av arket har eg stansa ut engler fra arket Englebarn - enkelt og greit :)

Som sagt veldig morsomt å lage noko anna enn flate kort.

Har fortsatt juleting på lager klar til å legges ut, men bildene ville ikkje flytte seg over fra kameraet i går, så må prøve på nytt.

Massevis av lekre juleark hos TreL no, så ta turen innom enten på nett eller i Storgata i Bodø :)

It is time for a new sketch challenge at Stuck On U Sketches - this time a sketch by Nanné Harry.

I really dreaded this sketch and postponed my start on it for a very long time because there were so much stuff on it, but when I started it was so easy to use.

I have used pictures of my little boy from his Christening. He is so cute in the dress my Mother in Law made. Papers are from one of my favourites - the norwegian producer Papirdesign, and I have used flowers from Prima and flowers and lace from my local craft store.

Det er lenge sidan eg hr deltatt hos Sketch Saturday, så tenkte det var på tide igjen. Hadde et kort å lage til niesa vår, og da passer det alltid godt med ei skisse. Vart eit kjapt kort med stempel fra Stampin' Bella og papirer fra Prima, og så fekk eg endelig brukt sommerfuglpunche min fra Martha Stewart :) Den og den fine blonden er kjøpt hos TreL :)

I finally found time to participate at Sketch Saturday again. Stamp from Stampin' Bella, and papers from Prima. Butterflies are a punch from Martha Stewart.

SOUS die cut challenge - LEAF

I am so sorry I am so terribly late with my post this week. It has been a busy weekend!

It will also be a short post, because I want to get back to my papers in the basement. Lots of projects going on that will appear on my blog soon I hope :)

There are some projects that you never really like, and this was one for me. I like some elements of it (the stamped image painted and then sprayed with mist, and I like the text stamp part. I also like the leaves I have used very much (from Gypsy wanderings), but I still don't like the card.

So no need for a big drum roll - but here is my card:

I think my papers are from Sassafrass, but am not quite sure. I love them thoug. The leaves are as mentioned earlier from Gypsy wanderings, and the die cut circle and the text frame are Spellbinders. Rhinestones are from imaginisce.

We have another sketch for you over at Stuck On U Sketches today - this week designed by Leah.

I have wanted to do something with these pictures for a long time, and finally!!!

I don't have much to say about it. Patterned papers are from Maja design, and the little red flowers and the pearls are from Papirdesign. I have also used a punch from Martha STewart for the edges.

The letters are some felt letters I have had for a long time

(BTW - Julegaver = Christmas presents)

I have once again chosen a Tilda stamp from Magnolia as embellishment for my LO.

SOUS die cut challenge - FENCE

It is finally friday and time for a new challenge over at Stuck On U Sketches - this week it is another die cut challenge. You can use any die cut machine and even use a store bought die cut, and this week we want to see a FENCE on your project!

I started my project intending to make a christmas card,

but suddenly I had turned it in to a layout of my daughter...

I have used the fence from Every Day Paper Dolls, cut it three times and layered it for a chipboard look. I used bazill bling silver cardstock and also used some copper ink and silver ink to give it some patina. Did the same thing to my lamp post which is a cut from the Christmas cartridge.

I sprayed my white cardstock with blue glimmer mist and made a journaling spot using a spellbinders die as a mask, and some distress ink. The patterned paper is from swedish Magnolia, as is the stamped girl image. For the flowers on the left a killed a holly branch from Magnolia (the leaves just did not fit...). I have also used some randomly placed blue pearls for embellishment.

It is friday and time for a new challenge at Stuck On U Sketches! This week we have an original sketch made for SOUS by Leah.

I don't suppose that you have ever heard of Captain Sabertooth. He is immensely popular with norwegian children, and this summer we went to see him. Konstanse joined her cousins at the late night show, and this is them dressed in proper costumes for the occasion!

I have borrowed Konstanse's cuttlekids dies for embellishments - the chest, the scull and the swords. And another cuttlebug dies for the pirat's flag and the ship.

The treasure in the lower right corner are buttons.

Julens gleder - DT TreL

Det har vore fult av julestemning i kjelleren min i det siste, og eg har fått brukt endå meir av dei nydelege julearka til Papirdesign

Først ein LO med arka Hjerterad og Nissefar. Har også brukt ein tag fra arket juletags.

Har også laga to julekort, begge med motiv fra klippearket Julebilder fra Papirdesign.

På det første har eg brukt baksidene på Englebarn og Nissefar. Har også brukt "Julehilsen" fra Juletags.

På det andre kortet har eg brukt arket Julebukett, framside og bakside. Har også igjen brukt Julehilsen fra arket Juetags. Fuglane er også klipt ut av dette arket.

SOUS October 7th - A christmas card

Time for a new die cut challenge at Stuck On U Sketches!! and this week the challenge is TREE!

I love these challenges. Each time I find myself discovering cuts that I have not noticed before. I got the Christmas solutions cart when I got my Gypsy, and I love the cuts on this one. I had not noticed the trees on this one till I searched for something else, but these were perfect for a winter scene for a christmas card, and they suited my Edwin stamp perfectly!!

Edwin is painted with distress inks. If you have not seen my tutorial on how I do this, you will find it HERE.

have not used much more embellishments on this card. The papers are from my scraps and are from Daisy D., the snowfalke/star die is from Marianne Design and the text stamp I do not remember where I got (it is one of my first stamps).

Trudde eg hadde lagt ut dette i egen blogg også, men er tok eg visst feil :)

Fikk en bunke nydelige juleark fra Papirdesign - Julens gleder. Det første eg har laga er et juleanheng til å pynte opp med til jul. Har brukt dei to arka Englebarn og julebukett - på begge ark har eg brukt baksida. Rødt og brunt er en av mine favorittkombinasjoner til jul, så desse arka er berre heilt perfekte! Det oser rett og slett jul av dei :)

Har pynta med en liten kakeserviett, ei julestjerne eg hr hatt liggande i evigheter samt små raude blomster som også er fra papirdesign. Greinene er stansa ut med punch.

Dei små stjernene er en die fra Marianne Design som også er å få hos TreL.no, og perlene er fra Kaiser kraft.

Stempela er frå mi eiga samling og er fargelagt med distress ink refiller - hovudsakleg aged mahognany, walnut stain og pumice stone.

Dei største panelet måler 9x8" og det minste er ca 7,5x5"

SOUS - September 30th - "you are so big"

Happy friday!! It is time for a new sketch challenge over at Stuck On U Sketches, and the last chance for a chance to win the give away for this month. This week we have a sketch with room for several photos, and I loved working with it. The sketch looked kind of girly to me, but I wanted to do boy photos, so there are a little less flowers on my take on it :)

My layout is about my little boy who is growing up so fast (OK - he is only two, but too me he was just a baby...). I have used a patterned paper in the background from Cosmo cricket, the flowers are from Prima, and the clock is cut from the flowers packaging (recycling!!). The brads I have had or ages, and the alpha stickers I think are Making Memories :) Not much more going on on this one, but Peter was happy (as his sister he loves looking through the albums with the pictures of "the baby").

Hi everyone! So sorry I am late with my post this week. It is time for a new die cut challenge at Stuck On U Sketches, and this time the shape is HEART. I had a wedding card to make - how perfect!!

This is my take on the challenge using the scalloped heart from Doodlecharms.

This is me trying to force the card to lie flat on the table

I have used papers from Basic grey and some prima flowers in addition to my heart. Have also used some pearls from Kaiser Craft and a cake doily.

The card is a tri-shutter card. Easy to make and looks great. No need for much embellishments as the card is decorative enough on its own.

Friday again and another sketch over at SOUS!

This week we have a gorgeous sketch by Alda Stevens at the Flying Unicorn.

I found this wonerful picture of my children. Love the look on their faces in this photo! I printet the photo in B/W on bazill canvas. Loved how that turned out!

Supplies I have used:

Petterned papers: Maja design and 7gypsies and a page from a book.

The clock is from a Bo Bunny journaling pad.

Flowers are Prima and paper roses from papirloftet and TreL and the lace is from papirloftet.

The little doily I found at my parents house, and the angel wings is from Panduro Hobby.

Title is cut three times with the cricut cart "Stamped" and layered for a "chipboard feel". i then stamped it with a text stamp from pink Paislee. the stamp in the lower right blue corner is also pink paislee.

It is friday and time for another SOUS die cut challenge! I have realized that summer is over this year, but am very happy to start a new season - hopefully with lots of crafting time.

The theme for this weeks die cut challenge is FLOWER. I have made a wall/door hanging for my daughter. She turns five the coming sunday, so this will be her card for this year.

I have used one of my favourite tilda stamps from Magnolia for this (from the fairy tale collection). She is so cute and dreamy - just like my DD :) Tilda is colored in distress inks. Papers are from inkido and Papirdesign. I have also used some stamping in the background along the sides (stamps from pink paislee). And then for my die cut flowers. I made a rosette for the top of my ribbon using my Storybook cart . Made two in different sizes and colors and layered them. The two other flowers are a die cut from Marianne design, cut on my cuttlebug. Have also cut her name with the storybook cart and the little bird is also a die from Marianne design. Other things I have used is liquid pearls, some paper roses and a cute little cake doily. Hope you like it :)

There is by the way something I forgot to mention last week. Alda Stevens at the Flying Unicorn Store have donated a give-away for us for september. SOUS september 2nd

I am actually writing this post about 36000 feet above Paris (Love the inflight wi fi...) Having spent the weekdays in Barcelona, I am now very much looking forward to getting home to the kids. Home sweet home!!

This is what I made with the sketch Sandi has made for us this week. I have used papers from Melissa Frances, some gorgeous Prima flowers, and stamps from stempelglede and pink paislee. SOUS August 26th - a door sign for Peter - and a winner for my (one month old) give away

Happy weekend everyone. I am so sorry I am late with my SOUS blog post for this week, but here it is :) It will be a short post as my inlaws are here and I also need to prepare for my trip to Barcelona this week (mon till fri - so excited). I have also found a winner for my little give away on the blog hop in july, but you will have to wait till the end of the post for that ;)

This weeks challenged called for a project with something you see in the sky. I have wanted to make a door sign for my son's room, for a while and this was perfect for it:

I started with painting a piece of wood with acrylic paint. I used decoupage glue to attach the patterned paper and later the letters and die cuts. Now I just need to find a good way to attach this to his door...

Now to the give away :) I wanted to include something made in Norway, so I choose this cool stamp by "Papirdesign" - great for boy cards. I also found some really cute cake doilies, and for a third little thing I picked out this cute little rub on alphabet from doodlebug design (I needed to keep this small as it will be traveling far...) SOUS 12. august - Playing with my new tractor

Welcome to the new die cut challenge at SOUS. Hope you stop by there to see all the new details if you did not come from there. The first challenge has the title "Play". You can use any cut from any cricut cartridge or any other die cut machine, but you need to make something that has to do with playing.

I have made a layout of my son and his toy tractor. It is a different kind of layout. Inspired by the norwegian scrapper Brit:

SOUS August 5th - A wedding card

First of all - thanks so much for all the wonderful comments from last week. I love blog hops. So many new acquaintances to visit (have not been around yet as I have been offline for almost a week but will visit you all during this weekend, and will draw a give away winner :)

Today on Stuck On U Sketches we have a beautiful sketch for you by our own Leah Schaeffer. I had too many things to do before I left for vacation, so I combined some tasks I needed to do and made a wedding card from this sketch:

Papers I have used are again scandinavian. The paper in the background is from the wedding collection from Papirdesign and the text on the paper is from 1 Corinthians 13 (in norwegian...). The pink paper is from swedish inkido.

Have used the combo grey and pink, with pink and grey flowers, pearls from Kaiser craft and liquid pearls in a grey tone color (do not remember which...). Have also colored my stamp from Magnolia in just Pumice stone to make a more vintage (B&W) feel to it.

On the inside I have used the backside of the text paper from the front page. I also cut out a piece with the closing phrase from the bible verse ("and now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love"). Stamp on my "greeting tag" is from pink paislee (butterfly garden).

On the backside I have used my personal stamp for decoration :)

This is my summer mini album that I have created with a chipboard house album from Creative Cuts and More (picture heavy - supply list under each pic):

Front of album. This album contains pictures from my in-laws cabin in northern Norway from the summer of 2007.

The whole album is quite simple. Have used mostly scraps for my papers, so I do not have much information about them. Here I have used sticker letters and two of my retro flower punches and some pearls.

Flowers are byPrima, the little swirl on top is a die cut from Marianne design, misc. buttons.

The frame around the picture is a chipboard frame from Creative cuts and more. Papers are fancy pants (the one I dressed the frame with) and Maja design. Flowers are Prima.

Tag is a die cut from Magnolia, flower is Prima and the paper is from Panduro hobby.

All die cuts are from Marianne design (text is cricut OA), papers are Maja design. (I took picture of about 20 different cloudberries this summer - the essence of northern Norway)

Beach life. Flowers are Prima, and the frame around the foot in the sand is once again a chip board frame from Creative cuts and more dressed in patterned paper.

I am so sorry that my blog post have been so delayed. My plan was to get this posted as soon as I got home from work, but the events in Norway this afternoon made me set this aside. I fortunately live far from these events, but I suddenly feel a little less safe...

Still - it is Friday, and time for another sketch at Stuck on U Sketches. We have a wonderful sketch again by Nanné this week. I loved working with it (thanks Nanné!!).

This week I have made a layout for my sister in law that she will give away to a friend, so I do not know this baby (hence the disguise...). Little baby girl layouts are great to make anyway, so I had a good time making this.

Patterned papers on this layout is (except the scalloped circle) exclusively scandinavian. I have used papers from three different producers (two swedish and one norwegian). They all have several collections of papers papers in the soft colors that I love so much.

The beautiful paper with roses and swallows is by Papirdesign, a norwegian brand, actually located in the small town where I live. The "text-paper" next to it and the pink paper in the bottom are both from the swedish inkido, but designed by a norwegian card maker - Anne Marte Olaussen, and finally the other strip above the pink paper is from Magnolia.

Title is cut with three layers of storybook, and text frame is spellbinders. Flowers are from Prima, and I have used liquid pearls to make the swirls (and a stencil from my irock tool). Last but not least, I have used a set of clear stamps from pink paislee (butterfly garden) around the page (in victorian velvet). The black birdcage is also from this stamp set!

SOUS July 8th - It is summer!

It IS summer!! Even here up north it is sunny and warm. I have celebrated this summer by making a layout with a picture of my daughter when she was almost two. I just LOVE this picture!

This week the sketch we have for you at SOUS is made by our own Nanné Harry. I loved working with this sketch, and I am so happy with how my page turned out!

Papers I have used, and also the chipboard animals, are all from Sassafrass. I have had them for quite a while, and I think they were perfect for this. They page is otherwise quite simple. I have just used some flowers for embellishments. The big flower I have made using Bonnie's tutorial from last friday , the rest are brown cherry blossoms and tulips from Papirloftet.

Mine første DT bidrag for TreL med Melissa Frances 5th Avenue

For en tid tilbake ble jeg kontaktet av Linda som driver butikken og nettbutikken TreL i Bodø med spørsmål om jeg ville være med på hennes Design Team i år. Jeg svarte så klart JAAAAA, og på samme tid som hun flyttet butikken sin inn til sentrum (noe jeg setter SVÆRT stor pris på siden jeg passerer lokalene hver dag...) fikk jeg min første DT-pakke, en bunke aldeles nydelige ark fra Melissa Frances, fra kolleksjonen 5th Avenue. Denne kolleksjonen har papirer i vintagestil i nydelige duse pastellfarger Har så langt fått laget tre forskjellige prosjekt - to kort og en LO, men har enda masse papir igjen, så blir nok mer. Tusen takk for tilliten Linda. Dette er så artig :)

Det første kortet jeg har laget er et enkelt sommerkort der jeg har brukt papirene Pearl (det rosa bakerst) og Antonia:

På bryllupskortet - som er et staffelikort - har jeg brukt papirene Ebony (det prikkete) og Geraldine (turkis med damaskmønster). Stempelet fra Magnolia er malt med distress ink - kun Pumice stone for å gi inntrykk av svart hvitt foto. Tagen med navn og dato er en Spellbinders dies. Matta med bildet på kan åpnes, og bakom er det plass til å skrive en hilsen:

Til sist en LO der jeg har brukt arka Lula og Octavia. Lula var perfekt til bilder av den kommende ballerina. Den nydelige blomsten er fra Prima og finnes også hos TreL. Det samme gjør perlegreina som er fra Kort og Godt. Har ellers brukt en del liquid pearls som jeg nettopp har "oppdaget" og som jeg nok må ha flere farger av (da er det bare å gå innom TreL igjen...).

It is friday again and time for a new sketch at Stuck On U Sketches!

This week we have a fun sketch by Liz Qualman to play with. You can find the sketch and the rest of the SOUS post HERE. And here is my take on her sketch with a cute picture of our little sunshine:

I tried very hard to include the banners in the sketch somehow, but could not make it fit my theme, so I have exchanged them for some skies (from Every day paper dolls) and a sun (from Gypsy wanderings).

I have used papers from MME (So Sophie I think) and some scraps.

The tag I have crumbled, inked with distress ink Crushed Olive and sprayed with Glimmer mist. The buttons on the layout are leftovers from my Grandfathers shop (the tag too actually).

Again I have used my cuttlebug for embossing - here the letters embossed with distressed stripes. Font is Cindy Loo. Letter stickers are from Making Memories. Title means literarily "Happy as the sun" (hence the need for a sun instead of banners...)

Et lite kjapt innlegg med et dåpskort eg har laga for en kollega. Har fått testa mitt nye lille verktøy - irock fra imaginisce. Ikkje heilt 100 % fornøgd med kor godt den limte fast steinane, og det var ganske tidkrevande, men vart no fint. Kortet er ellers et staffelikort. Har brukt diverse restepapir. Tekststempelet er fra Anka design. Aner ikkje kor motivet stammer fra.

Her i nord er det tropevarme, så då er det godt å krype ned i kjelleren til scrappestæsjet på kvelden. Hihihi :)

Har brukt to forskjellige mønsterpapir fra Magnolia. Tekstempler er begge fra Norsk stempelblad. Bildet er funnet på nettet ig skrive ut på craft kartong. Monogramnet er laga med Cricyt gypsy og lyrical letters, og hjertene er også cricut. Har ellers brukt varmepistol og gull-embossingpulver flittig.

It is friday and time for another challenge over at Stuck On U Sketches!

This week we have a gorgeous sketch by Beggahuna for you:

I have chosen some quite new pictures this time, from the celebration of the norwegian national day this May - an exciting day for a kid in Norway, with games, carousels, parades and lots of ice cream!

These are various pics of the kids from this day.

Have used the colors from the norwegian flag - red, white and blue throughout the layout. I did not find a brand name on the patterned paper, I just remember that I got it in an LRS kit once.

Pinwheels are quite common as a kids toy on this day, so I have made some to use as an embellishment. Found a great tutorial here.

Cricut used on this layout is Storybook for title and Home Accents for the swirls. Have also used a stamp from Papirdesign as a frame for my journaling, a small retro flower punch, cuttlebug and swiss dot embossing folder and as usual a lot of pearls.

Det er vanskelig med guttekort...Brukte laaang tid på å finne bilde til kortet, men fant til slutt dette av James Dean på nettet. Har brukt et stempel fra Tim Holz i bakgrunnen, og papirer fra restehaugen min. Die cuts er Cricut. A-en i hjørnet (fir Andreas) er Blackletter og stjernene er gode gamle George. Både monogram og stjerner har fått en tur i cuttlebugen. :)

Sukkersøtt #126 - Min stil

Det blir et kjapt lite innlegg i dag, med et kort som eg laga til utfordringa på Sukkersøtt denne veka. Oppgåva var "Vis oss din stil". Er ikkje så enkelt å definere sin egen stil, men dette er ganske typisk meg: ryddig oppsett, men rufsete i kanten (kan gjerne rufse og grise, men symmetri må det vere...)

Mønsterpapir og stempel fra Magnolia

Har laga et rosa og brunt bursdagskort - en av mine favorittkombinasjoner. Har nylig "gjenoppdaga" embossingens gleder, så her har både det eine panelet og blomstene fått seg en tur i cuttlebugen. Inking og distressing av kanter er også noke som så å seie alltid er med i mine kort/LOer, og det samme gjelder halvperler. Kortet har også en av mine favoritter fra Magnolia (fargelagt med distress ink) i sentrum.

SOUS - May 27th

Time for another challenge at Stuck On U Sketches, and for the second time this month we have a beautiful sketch by our own Ness Waller:

My DD will turn five this september, but here she is hardly a month old, together with her grandmother, my mother. Title means "proud grandma". Konstanse was her first grandchild, and she was very proud :)

Papes I have used are from MME and Imaginisce (both are backsides if I remember it correctly). I have also used a small paper doily in the background.

On this layout I have been inspired by my teammate Leah and have used embossing a lot, both dry embossing and heat embossing. Have not used my heat gun in years, but right now I am loving it and need to buy more embossing powder. The bird stamp from Inque Boutique are heat embossed with a dark red powder, so is the swirl from the same collection from Inque Boutique.

In the background you can see that I have used my Cuttlebug and the swiss dot folder, and afterwards inked it with distress inks.

Title are brown felt letters.

Have also used a small felt frame around the text here that is a rub on.

Noken konfirmasjonskort

Har laga litt konfirmasjonskort dei siste vekene.

Først et lilla kort med stempel fra Magnolia og papirer fra Fancy Pants og 7 gypsies. Har også brukt ei gammel bokside, en liten kakeserviett og en del halvperler. Alle paneler er rufsa med kantskrape fra Tim Holz og sydd fast med symaskin. Stempeltrykk er fargelagt med distress ink.

Dei to neste korta har begge stempel fra Whiff of Joy og papirer fra Maja Design. Også her er alle panel sydd på med symaskin. Har brukt et par die cuts fra Cricut Indy Art (fugl og sommerfugl). Blomster er fra Prima og fra papirloftet

Tekstempel på alle tre korta er fra Papirdesign si konfirmasjonsplate.

Det har vore en lang og begivenhetsrik dag for både små og store, med barnehagetog, tivoli, leikar , kaker is og brus i barnehagen og seinere borgertog. Værgudane slo til med sol og varme på formiddagen, og regndråpane på ettermiddagen var så spredd at dei regner vi ikkje med :)

Her er et lite bile av våre to små festpynta og klare for dagen i dag tidleg. Dei var ikkje like reine og fine då dagen var omme... Håper alle ha hatt ein fin 17. mai :)

SOUS May 13th - Love is in the air

This post is a little late, I know, but as Blogger did not work thursday evening and most of friday this was my first chance to do this.

This week we have a fabulous sketch by our own Vanessa (Ness). She makes amazing sketches with lots of detail and have made both of our May sketches for us! Ness and her store, Scrap with V has also donated a great prize for our participants in May.

I do not have many pictures to show you I am afraid. Seems like I have been a bit too lazy picturewise this week, but here it is:

Another picture from our honeymoon - chilling in the park in front of the Eiffel tower. Have used bazill cardstock as a base (I always do by the way...) and some blue and green patterned paper from MME (Bohemia? I inherited these from a friend so not quite sure). The title is stickers from my drawer of misc. stuff. Have also used part of a paper doily as frame for the journaling (leftovers from my last LO), a heart punch from EK Success and some prima flowers.

Nothing more to say tonight. Will enjoy my glass of wine and Nicolas Cage on TV.

SOUS - April 29th - Honeymoon in Paris

It is time for a new challenge over at Stuck On U Sketches. This week we have for you a sketch from Page Maps. Hope you will take the time to drop by to see all the different takes on the sketch from the Design Team.

I have finally started my wedding and honeymoon album (we got married in august 2005). We got a surprising wedding gift from the in laws introduced during dinner - a trip to Paris the following weekend. A wonderful trip to a wonderful city!

Have used some misc. unmarked patterned papers from my stash. The embellishments and the letters I also found in my drawer of stuff...

Around and under the title I have used parts of a doily (cut out the middle and the outer frame).

SOUS - April 15th - Friends and Princesses

Since my last post I am finally happy to announce that spring is here!!! Yuhuuu! Not exactly warm, but at least the snow is gone :) Here is a picture from today of my kids in their new sweaters and hats that their grandmother have knitted.

I am a terrible blogger. I even have several cards and two layouts that I have not posted from the last weeks, but I never seem to find the time. Will try to post some more the coming week though, as I have taken the next one and a half week off for the Easter holidays, and we are driving south to my parents house tomorrow (1137 km...)

Enough chit chat though. I have a cute cute layout to show you this time. A picture taken of my daughter and her two friends a couple of months ago. The girl in the middle turned five, and she had a dress up birthday party, and of course all the girls came as princesses... (here you can see Cinderella, Tiana and Aurora).

The sketch for our challenge at Stuck On U Sketches this week is by Liz Qualman. It is quite simple, so you can easily adapt it to your own style and theme. I chose the sweet and romantic style with soft colors, flowers and butterflies to match the cute princesses dresses. The title is partly a piece of chipboard, that I painted in a soft pink color, for the norwegian word for Friends (Venner), and Gypsy Font welded for the subtitle. I have also used my cricut and Indy arts for the pink and blue bird in the upper left corner of the photo, and Every Day Paperdolls for three butterflies in three different colors, pink, blue and green (that I later covered with diamond stickles). The flowers are from Prima and Papirloftet, and the leaves are made with a Nellie Snellen punch.

On the other side of the picture I have used these beautiful bling brads from Papirloftet (my favourite norwegian online scrapbooking store) in the same colors as the girls dresses again.

I have tried using embellishments in the same colors
as the girls dresses.

SOUS - April 1st - Christmas 2008

This is what April Fools Day looks like at my house, and I am sad to say that this is no prank. Spring will be very welcome this year!!

This week we offer for you a beautiful sketch by Beggahuna. I noticed that Nanné wrote on the SOUS-blog today that the sketch ahd spring written all over it. That might be, but I still chose a christmas picture. A family picture from our last christmas with only one child.

Papers I have used are mainly from one of my favourite producers, the swedish Maja design, but the music sheet is from 7gypsies. The title is cut from Cricut Blackletter - Got it with my Gypsy, and have fallen in love with it for Christmas projects!

Did no want to add much to the layout (I like it simple), but made a circle of pearls, and added this beautiful christmas vine from Prima.

SOUS March 18th - with a little blog candy from Generations crafting

For the second time in a row it was Peter Olai's turn to have a page done! Love this picture of him on his first birthday, which we actually celebrated in the woods picking blueberries and eating cupcakes. This week at SOUS we had a great sketch with multiple photo opportunities to play with. Sketch is by Becky Fleck. As usual the sketch is just a guide, so I have used only two photoes, and as you can see if you take a look at what the other designers have done, there are many excellent ways to do it!

My layout this week is quite simple. My favourite bazill craft cardstock as background, and some brown and turqouise patterned papers (I do not remember producers right now). Have used a frame from gypsy wanderings to surround my title which is cut with Printing Press (title meaning one year).

For embellishments I have used buttons, a little ribbon, staples, safety pins and some heart shaped charms. You can see here how I fastened the charms with a safety pin.

It is time for another challenge on Stuck On U SKetches - I can't believe how fast time flies! This week we have a gorgeous sketch for you by Suepup. I have to admit that I struggled quite a bit with this one, but in the end I was very happy!

I have used my sowing machine a lot on this LO, all the different panels are sown on. Papers used are, craft cardstock by bazill for base, pattered papers from Panduro (the dotted in the background), Magnolia and 7gypsies. Have also used some lace, paper roses and a pearl swirl from Prima (cut into pieces...). The most special thing for me is a little doily crocheted by my late grandmother. I have kept it in my stash for a long time, but finally found the perfect use for it:

Another thing to mention is that I got my Gypsy last week, and I absolutely love it. Title for this page is welded with my gypsy, and I absolutely loved this font that came with it - Gypsy font:

Eg klarte å fullføre 3 julekort også i februar, og er veldig fornøgd med det. Er litt treg med å få dei posta i bloggen, men slik er det vel stort sett alltid... Har ikkje tatt så masse bilder denne gangen heller, men her kommer iallfall en liten oppsummering:

SOUS february 18th - Winter and snow

Time for another challenge at SOUS, this time with a sketch from pagemaps. There are some changes on our team from this week. This is the last sketch you will see Debbie and Lisa do for our team. We are sad to see them go, but we are also happy that there are four other designers joining us from today. On the SOUS-blog you can see a presentation of them all, or you can follow the links to their blogs here: Ness, Bonnie, Dawn and Wanda.

For my layout this time I have again chosen some quite old pictures of my daughter (january 2008). The background paper has the word winter (or vinter in norwegian) written all over and is by Papirdesign - my local paper and stamp designer.

Snowflakes are from the cartridge Pooh and friends, and title is cut from Opposite attracts. Have also used some blue pearls from Inkido. Here it is again:

SOUS February 4th - SUMMER JOY

It is friday again, and time for a new challenge over at Stuck On U Sketches. For some reason I thought this sketch from Scrabooks, Etc. was going to be a difficult one for me, but I actually enjoyed it very much as soon as I found the right papers (die cut paper from Bo Bunny and an old piece of paper from MME Magnolia).

I have kept it quite simple, but I will give you a close-up of some of the details. First; my title is cut with Cricut and Zooballo. I cut it three times and layered them on top of eachother to make a kind of chipboard feel to it. Love how that turned out. The rest of the title are Making memories stickers and then I handcut some blocks and used handwriting. The chipboard arrow I found in one of my drawers...

In the upper corners I have used a cute little butterfly stamp. Have also used some lime green dewdrops around the upper edges of my mat:

I cut some butterflies from some scraps, and I also drew on faux stitching around the edges. Instead of a round journaling mat I added a circle shaped picture.

The ribbon is adhesive ribbon from DCWV:

Skissedilla #96

Henger meg på skissedilla si utfordring denne veka med denne julete LOen med Konstanse som pynter juletre jula 2008. Var liksom allereie i julemodus etter alle julekorta, og så fekk eg brukt opp litt restepapir i same slengen - dette fiiine mønsterpapiret fra Maja design!

Eg er laaaangt fra ajour når det kommer til scrapping, men syns av og til det er

utrulig deilig å ta fram slike "gamle" bilder, for tida går jo så fort.

Skulle gjerne hatt en pauseknapp innimellom...

Er ikkje så masse pynt og stæsj å snakke om ellers. Fonten eg har brukt er Cricut sin Base Camp, og ellers er det berre nokre få halvperler fra Kaiser kraft og nokre

sløyfer som pynter opp. Enkelt og greit :)

Årets fjerde kort!

Sånn heilt uoffisielt har eg et nyttårsforsett om å lage et kort og en LO kvar veke. Etter ei veke med influensa føler eg at eg vart sett litt tilbake, spesielt sidan eg ikkje fekk gjort SOUS-bidraget mitt den veka, men etter ei lita opptelling no ser eg at eg iallfall er i rute når det gjeld kort, då eg kan legge ut årets fjerde kort her i veke 4!! (for dei tre andre sjå forrige post) Har ikkje tatt noko meir bilete av det, og har vel heller ikkje så masse å seie om det anna enn at bildet er fra et utklippsark, rosene og blonden er fra Papirloftet og blada er ein punch fra Nellie Snellen. Perler er fra Inkido men mønsterpapiret husker eg ikkje kor er fra.

Hjertebodens juleutfordring - Januar!

Eg har fleire år prøvd meg på å få laga julekort sånn litt i forkant av jula. Sånn rett før jul er det evig nok å henge fingrane i, så intensjonen kvart år har vore klar - dette året skal eg vere betre førebudd!! Å overhalde dette har likevel ikkje vore like lett, men i år har eg fått meg eit lite spark bak i form av den geniale utfordringa på Hjertebodens juleblogg: Lag tre julekort kvar månad heile året. Så langt har dette for min del fungert strålande (men så er vi jo framleis berre i januar då...) og her kjem mine tre første julekort i 2011. Det er akkurat i dag 11 månader til neste julafta, og eg er herved tre steg nærare ei rolegare førjulstid!

Årets første julekort vart blått, med søte Edwin på skogstur. Mønsterpapiret er Daisy D., stjernehimmel fra Stempelglede si juleplate og fugl og ekorn kutta ut med

Cricut - Happily Ever After.

Kort nummer to har nok et stempel fra Magnolia som eg ikkje hadde brukt på fleire år. Mønsterpapiret er fra 3ndy, brads frå Papirloftet, og font, hjerter, matter og tag er cricut. Har også embossa den eine plata med cuttlebug.

Siste kortet fekk ein litt annan stil, med motiv frå eit utklippsark frå Papirloftet ogmønsterpapir frå Webster´s Pages. Brads og blonde er også frå papirloftet.

SOUS - January 7th - Peter in his sandbox

Hmmm...I tried to schedule this for publishing today at 8 am, but no success it seems. But here it is - my first layout this year :)

For my first layout this year I have chosen a sweet little picture of Peter Olai - my youngest. He loves his sandbox as you can see in this picture:

I have used papers from Panduro, from a stack of paper that I don't remember the name of cardboard and som die cuts cut with Cricut with Every day paper dolls.

have mad sand on the shovel and in the bucket with a thick layer of diamond stickles and later covered it with brown distress inks.

I have also done some stitching by hand using blue scrappers floss.

Not much more to say about my layout except that I welcome you all to join us in this weeks challenge at Stuck on U Sketches! Remember you have two weeks from today to have a go on the sketch!

I am a week late with what should have been my DT layout at SOUS for Christmas Eve. the reason for this is that I just had too much to do before i left for my Christmas vacation on the 19th, so I did not have time to finish it. Now I am back home after a wonderful vacation at my parents house. Good times with family and old friends, lots of lovely food, cold, but beautiful weather and last but not least happy children!! I love Christmas!

For my layout I have used a cute picture of my daughter and son on their celebration of Lucia (Saint Lucy's Day - a common celebration i Norway and Sweden) in their daycare/kindergarten on the 13th of december this year.

Have used some leftover tinsel (?) around the picture as the kids have this on their costumes. The letters for the title are really brown felt letters, but I used a looot of stickles on them to make them fit the rest. The swirls are actually one pearl/rhinestone swirl from Prima, but I cut it up to fit my layout better.

That was all for this year. Hope many of you will join the ongoing challenge at Stuck On U Sketches - open till January 7th! The only thing left to do is wish you all a Happy New Year, and I am doing that with this picture I took yesterday in our garden!

DT-Layout for SOUS - december 10th

I am a terrible blogger. I am slow, and I have at least 5 projects that I have done the last weeks that I have not uploaded. Started early today thinking about making this post, but I wanted to wait for daylight so that i could take some better photos of my layout. Daylight came around noon, and I got the pictures I wanted, but then me and my husband, who both had a day off from work with no kids around, decided to go skiing... now I am ready though!!

My post for today is my DT-layout for the coming challenge at SOUS. This week there is no sketch, but we are challenging you to make a layout using some kind of die cut paper, or if you don't have any, to make your own.

We all got a selection of Bo Bunny Die cut papers sponsored by Generations crafting, so please go look what all the designers did with theirs.

This week I had to go for the quick and easy kind of layout (too little time to much to make before christmas), and then this paper was perfect, because it was so decorative. Have chosen a beautiful picture of my big girl, and have just used some flowers from Prima, some roses and some pearls for embellishments:

DT-Layout for SOUS - november 26th

Just a quick post for now to show you my layout for Stuck On U Sketches this week. Please check out the blog to see the lovely sketch created to us by Vanessa Waller, and join in on the fun :)

We have had this really really cold weather (right now it is 15 F) all november - not much snow, but enough to take the sled out and give it a go. For Peter this was his first time riding on the sled.

Unfortunately because of the wintery darkness above the arctic circle, I could not really get a good photo of my layout. Have tried to fix it in iphoto, but the colors are still a bit off. Hope you can see past that :)

For my layout I have used this beautiful wintery patterned papers from Bo Bunny (Winter whispers). I have distressed and inked the edges, and the panels and the lace are all sown on. Other things I have used:

Dette er egentlig et par kort eg laga for ei stund sia, men sidan eg er en fryktelig treig blogger har det lagt klart ei stund uten at eg har fått det ut på bloggen.

Først et babykort laga på bestilling til en kollega. Rosa og brunt, med nydelige papirer fra Maja Design og stempel fra Wiff of joy.

Og deretter et kort laga til 60-års-dagen til tanta mi for litt sidan. Stempel fra Magnolia og papirer fra Basic Grey.

SOUS 12th of November

It is time for another sketch challenge over at Stuck On U Sketches. I am a bit late with my post this week. It is my day off for this week, so I have been busy doing housework all day. What a blessing LOL!

This week we had a beautiful sketch by Vanessa Waller to play with. You can see it here. I have turned it the other way around, mostly because of the paper I wanted to use - these lovely papers from Webster's pages that have been in my "archive" of patterned paper for ages. Picture is of my DD from this spring. I can't believe how fast she is growing, and that is also what my journaling is about.

Everything except the ribbon are from the same collection from Webster's pages. I think it is from 2009, but I really don't remember excactly. Have fussy cut and layered the flowers for some dimension.

Have also used my sowing machine a lot. Have sown all the panels, the ribbon and the photo. Have also used som decorative stitching as you can see here:

Kunstner - SOUS 29th of october

This week the theme at Stuck on U Sketches is Halloween, but since I don't celebrate Halloween I have chosen only to use the colors with these cute picture of my daughter painting when she was little. Have used orange papers from MME (Magnolia) and Cosmo cricket (Joyride).

Have followed the theme of the pictures and used a lot of acrylic paint, for the edges, and to imitate her "painting style" (LOL). Have also accentuated the largest picture with pearls and rhinestones from Prima.

Have used flowers from Prima (got flowers) and a feather I found in my stash.

Trampoline - SOUS chlalenge october 15th

Just a quick post today as we are going away for the weekend and I should really get ready so we can go LOL!

Have had a great time doing summer photos this week. We have had a pretty great september here, but now the autumn weather has coughtup with us, and we have even had our first snowfall for this season. Nice weather to be inside and think about summer :)

Pictures are of our daughter on the trampoline - a birthday present to both kids from their grand parents. She has had so much fun on it!

Made a little scene with Every day paper dolls. it is quite amazing all the stuff that is on it :)

Title is cut with Printing press. Have not used it in ages, but knew it would be perfect here. Love how it came out in this bouncy way. Arrow I cut by freehand.

Christmas in october

I have made another card - this time for christmas. Have used the sketch over at sketch saturday this week - week #123. Am also joining challenge #79 at Stamptacular sunday - layer it on, and week 75 at Just Magnolia - Anything goes.

Stamp is of course from Magnolia, colored with distress inks - mainly aged mahogany and vintage photo. Patterned papers I found in my folder of scraps. I believe the text-paper is from Papirdesign, but the other one I have no idea. Have also used lace and roses from papirloftet. Heart is a punch from EK success and branch is a McGill punch.

Text stamp is from Stempelglede and pearls from Kaiser kraft. That is all I think :)

Coolest in town - SOUS october 1st

It is friday again, and time for a new challenge over at Stuck on U sketches. This week we have had a super sketch from Becky Fleck to play with. Make sure you stop by and look at all the designs and see what the other girls made!

This is my take on the sketch. I have enjoyed looking at old photos on the computer this week, and found these cute pictures of my daughter at 7 months.

Have used bazill craft cardstock as a base (one of my favourites), and misc scraps for the patternes squares. Have also used a lot of bling (brown from Kaiser craft) and stamps from the norwegian producer Stempelglede, all of them from her "grunge collection". You can see on of the borders in close up here. I really love these:

In the upper left corner I have cut some pink stars with my cricut and the good old george cart. Added some brads in the middle for more edge:

The title are some felt stickers I found in my drawers of misc stash. Think I got them in a LRS kit once, but do not know who made them. You can see a bit of them here, together with my cross stitches, which I made in pink scrappers floss:

Har ellers brukt mønsterpapir fra Panduro (det lilla) og 7 gypsies (notepapiret), blomster fra papirloftet, perler fra Kaiser craft og kant punch (doily lace) fra Martha Stewart. "Til konfirmanten"-stempelet er fra Papirdesign.

SOUS September 17th - first designer week

Welcome to my first LO as a designer for SOUS (Stuck on U Sketches). It has been kind of a scary start for me, because I have hardly ever made a double page, and I honestly did not think I could do it, but I could (I even tink I will do it again) :)

The pictures tell the story of my daughters first bike (this weeks lesson in norwegian: sykkel=bike...LOL). The bright pinkt patterned paper is Glitz, but the other one I do not know. Title is cut from cricut Hello Kitty font!

This cute little girl is a stamp from the swedish producer Hänglar & stänglar, and I have colored her with distress inks and water (I love stamping, and that is my prefered coloring technique).

Bike is cut with Cricut and Every Day Paper Dools. Cut an extra layer of pink to make some dimension and to make it look like DDs bike. Also adjusted it to be a more girly bike and added eyelets in the wheels.

I am finally back in the game, and this time I actually made a layout with a picture of no other than myself. Not done that before I think! As always loved the sketch you had provided at SOUS.

I have used quite bold colours. I usually use soft colors, and I am not sure if I would ever come up with this color scheme if it wasn't for the parrot... But I thought that if he could pull it off, so can I!! Actually loved how it turned out.

Have used a patterned paper from MME, and blue flowers from my stash. Bling is prima I think, but not sure. The letters are thickers
that I got in a LRS kit once,
and hibiscuses are cut from Cricut Storybook.

Skissedilla #63 - blått blikk

Er ganske stolt av meg sjølv no, for dette er faktisk 3. LO på litt over ei veke. Slett ikkje verst. Har brukt skisse nr 63 hos Skissedilla. Peter Olai sine store blå øyne blir stadig vekk kommentert når han møter nye folk, så tenkte eg måtte lage en LO om desse.

Har prøvd meg på en litt meir rufsete stil enn eg vanligvis har. Ganske fornøyd med resultatet egentlig, men ser at min hang til symmetri skinner gjennom...hihihi.

Har brukt bølgepapp malt med Tim Holz crackle paint og distress ink, sammen med baksida av et mønsterark fra Kaiser scrapbook.

Hjertene er chipboard (fra skuffen min) også mala med crackle paint:

Har ellers sydd i to av kantane med scrappers floss, brukt stiftemaskin, stempel fra Stempelglede - grunge collection, diverse knapper og perler fra Kaiser craft.

SOUS June 4th - sister and brother

Loved the clean and simple sketch this week, and even managed to resist putting more stash onto it :) Love these pictures of my two little sweeties from last november. Konstanse is so proud of her new little brother!

Have used a beautiful patterned paper from the swedish Maja design - my favourite these days. It is two sides of the same paper. All edges are torn (nail file) and then sawn on. Have also done some sewing around the edges (four rounds...). Flowers are the Retro flower punches from EK success (small, medium, large):

SOUS 28th of May - sketch by beggahuna - picking berries

Long time no see again - I have been crafting, but have not been around my computer very much, so have not done any posting... i am a terrible terrible blogger...

have once again joined the challenge at SOUS (I once had a new years resolution to do that every week, but so far I have not been very good - but that is kind of normal when it comes to new years resolutions though so not feeling that guilty).

Well... loved the sketch this week by Beggahua! Love the white spaces, and the multiple photo opportunities. Have once again digged deep in my library of pictures, with these cute photoes of Konstanse and her cousin picking blueberries in 2008.

Have used papers and chipboard embellishments from Sassafrass (got them in an LRS kit ages ago - and finally found a suiting place for them). Love the little deer:

The blueberry "bush" is a cut from Storybook, cut as a border to make it longer. Title is once again Hello Kitty font Round feature - I love the simplicity of that font! the title by the way means "Small eager blueberry eaters"

SOUS MAY 7th - "Oldebesta"

Finally found the time to join you at SOUS again this week. Had to celebrate that you picked me for one of your Guest designer spots. Thank you - I am very flattered :)

In Norway we celebrate Mothers day in february, but in honour of your Mothers day I chose these cute pictures from 2007 that my husband took of my daughter Konstanse and her great grandmother. Love these pictures of them!!

Did not get a very good picture of it (because of flash problems), but hope you can get an impression. Turned the sketch around. Have used patterned paper from Papirdesign, craft cardstock from bazill in the bacground, and I have used an edge stamp from Stempelglede - grunge collection around the edges. Panels are sown on. Have also used some lace and roses from Papirloftet, edge punch from Martha Stewart, misc. flower. Font is Cricut Opposite attracts - upright feature, and branches from storybook cart. Butterfly is a Quikcutz die! Phu... that is all I think :)

Sukkersøtt #83 - gratulasjonskort

Oppgava hos Sukkersøtt denne veka var å lage et gratulasjonskort - til hvilken som helst slags anledning. Har nytta sjansen til å lage et forsinka bursdagskort til nevøen vår (3 år). Var litt inspirert av Camilla Støen Bakke sitt criss cross kort i siste Ett trykk, så måtte lage et slikt. Lenge sia sist!

Tok utgangspunkt i papirer fra Cosmo Cricket - Joyride, og gjorde faktisk alt i motsatt rekkefølge av ka eg pleier - dvs at eg malte stempeltrykka til slutt. Funka det og :) "Gratulerer"-stempelet er fra Norsk stempelblad.
Alltid søte (og her kule) Edwin er mala i distress inks; hovedsaklig med tumbled glass/broken china og weathered wood/black soot:

Ballongane som er festa i sida av stempeltrykket med en eyelet er skjært ut med cricut (George and Basic shapes) i akvarellpapir, og er også mala med distress ink:

På innsida finner vi igjen Edwin sammen med gratulasjonsstempelet til Norsk stempelblad. Edwin er her mala i motsatte farger fra forsida:

Plutselig vart det et julekort! Har vært nok snøfall i det siste til at julestemninga kunne vore sikra, men dette kom nok meir av at eg måtte prøve nytt stempel :) den alltid sjarmerande Tilda.
Har brukt papirer fra Daisy D, mulberry roser fra Papirloftet, røde blomster fra ukjent produsent og mcgill pine punch. "God jul" er round feature fra Cricut Hello Kitty font.

Just Magnolia - week 53

I have been wanting to join in on the just magnolia challenge for ages, and I finally found the time to make a real card again! Had a lot of fun with the lovely sketch by Bev, and made a girly card!

The lovely Tilda is coloured with distress inks - mainly victorian velvet and stormy sky. She also got som diamond stickles on her wings and her rose:

A little bird (with bling eyes...) is keeping her company. He is cut with cricut, the happily ever after cart (on of snow white's companions):

Mulberry roses from Papirloftet, leaves are cricut Doodlecharms and the lovely butterfly is from cricut - Every day paper dolls.

On the inside I have used the cute Edwin. Like on the outside all panels are sown on to the base.
All edges are also scraped (with a nail file) and inked with distress ink.

On the backside, more of the beautiful rose paper from Papirdesign, and my own signature stamp from Sscrapmagasinet!

Birthday card with a feeling of spring

Right now spring seems very far away, as we still have at least 3 feet of snow, so I thought I could make a little spring on my own. Will be joining the little contest over at the BBTB2 blog - a spring project including a stamp and ofcourse a cricut cut!

Patterned papers I have used is Maya design (the green one) and Papirdesign (dotted).

Have used this cute Tilda from Magnolia. Coloured with distress inks:

Cricut used on this card is frames from storybook (altered a bit in DS) and the little cute butterflies from Every day paper dolls (they are sooo cute - one of my favourite cricut cuts ever). Have also used a swirl/branch from Home accents, which I cut in half.

Bling brad and roses are from Papirloftet.

Have also decorated inside - using the same layout as the front, but with a scalloped circle frame from Mini Monograms:

Sketch saturday week #93

I got my new distress inks, and have celebrated that by making a pink card. Excited that there finally excists a decent pink colour without having to mix (less work-me happy :) ). Victorian velvet has the most beautiful shade of pink!! Have made a card using Maya's sketch at sketch saturday this week.
Patterned papers are from Maja design and Papirdesign, and I cut the scalloped circle using my cricut (Mini Monograms). Sentiment is from Norsk stempelblad.

The supercute stamp from Whiff of joy is coloured with distress inks and waterbrush, and the main colours are the new Victorian velvet (pink) and Stormy sky (blue):

Have also used the sketch when decorating the inside, with sentiment stamp from Stempelglede. The panel for the personal message opens up, so that I will have more space to write:

SOUS - March 5th - Plane spotter

It is only tuesday, and I have already finished the challenge at Stuck on U Sketches (so proud right now). This week they had a great sketch from Becky Fleck pagemaps, and as an extra touch you are supposed to use bling (which we of course love!!). Finally got to make something out of this cute picture of Konstanse at Bodø Airshow back in 2008, and I finally found use for these quite flashy papers which have been in my box of papers for a looong time (cannot remember the producer right now, but know I got them in an LRS kit. Title is BTW cut from lyrical letters

It is ot easy to see in the picture, but the frame I have made around the picture actuallt glitters. Hand drew little circles, filled them with my white sakura gel pen and put white stickles on top. The ribbon above the picture is the arm band from the airshow.

For a little more bling you can see that the cute little airplanes from New arrival have got pink bling-windows (kaizercraft rhinestones - I love them):

Friday sketchers #92 - for my nephew

Made this card for my nephews birthday, using the sketch from Friday sketchers this week. Have used papers from Papirdesign (in front) and Cosmo Ckricket - Joyride (in the background). Have also used my cuttlebug embossing folder number collage behind cute Edwin. Have coloured Edwin with distress inks, trying to make his footballsuit like the boys favourite norwegian team (not quite right though...). You can see him in closeup here:

Denne veka var sirkler tema hos Stamptacular Sunday challenge. Er lenge sidan eg har deltatt, men det passa jo supert til kortet eg hadde begynt på til svogeren min.

This week circles was a theme atethe Stampacular sumday challenge. I have not participated in a long time, but as I had already startet a card with circles, this week was the perfect week to join in again :)

Har brukt motivstempel fra whippersnapper, men tekststempelet er eg usikker på. Trudde kanskje det var papirloftet og Cecilie Lundestad, men er dessverre ikkje sikker... ønsterark er iallfall heilt sikkert Papirdesign, og denne søte fiske-charmen er kjøpt hosTreL!!

Innside og bakside er også behørig pynta.

Denne gangen hadde skissedilla gjestedesigner som har stått for skissa, nemlig Anita Areklett. Ei skisse som var super til en rask LO - clean and simple.

Bildene halvanna år gamle, av Konstanse og Jon Egil på tur til Mjelle. Mønsterarket er MME. Har ellers brukt cricut cartridgen Base Camp til overskrifta. Har kutta denne to ganger og limpt sammen for chipboard effekt:

SOUS - February 19th challenge

This week the SOUS-team tempted us with this beautiful sketch by Liz Qualman:

This layout actually took me 3 evenings to finish, most of all because of my stupid idea to hand-sow the circle behind the patterned paper... (took 1 1/2 hour...), but I also blame the Olympics (congratulations to the norwegian female relay race team on todays victory!!). Finished at last though!!

These pictures of Peter was taken just a week ago. Title says "6 months", and journaling states that he at 6 months enjoyed his tummy time, and that he always have a smile for you!

Lots of cricut on this one. Have used New arrival a lot on this layout. It is a cart that is quite new to me even though it is an old one. Lots of cute little designs! Have put many of them on pop dots

Swirl in the background are both from Home accents, stars from good old George and title is the round feature on Hello kitty font.

The border under the picture is an old chipbord border I have had for a while, and it is painted with Tim Holz crackle paint. Cardstock is bazill dotted swiss and patterned paper is from the swedish producer Maja design!

SOUS challenge february 12th

Just have to make this a very quick post as it is my bedtime (past it really). Had to join you again at SOUS this week even though I did not have much time. The sktch was great for a quick layout though. Clean and simple with my daughter and son on our christmas card picture from last year. Patterned papers are from the norwegian Papirdesign and Little yellow bicycle. Got the lovely McGill Pine branch punch in the mail today so ad to use that one. Font is Cricut Stone script!

Now it is really time for bed...

Friday sketchers #89

Finally made the Friday sketchers challenge again. Think this is my first card this year as I have been busy trying to do layouts.

Card for a good friend who turns 33 next week. Have used patterned paper from Websters pages, ribbon/lace from Panduro, stamp from Hänglar & stänglar, and cuttlebug embossing folder script.

Have also used the sketch for the inside and backside of the card.

Inside I use a stamp about friendship from he norwegian designer Stempelglede.

And on the backside one of my personal stamps from Scrapmagasinet!

I am very sorry about the bad pictures. Me and the camera have not been best friends today...

SOUS - January 15th challenge!!

Finally back in the game at SOUS! Loved working with this weeks sketch. Was a bit afraid of it at first at there was so much going on on it, but found the perfect pictures for it, so had a blast and really outdid myself stash-wise (I am really a clean and simple kind of girl...). (You can click the picture to see it bigger by the way)

Pictures are from this summer, when we brough Konstanse's plants on holiday with us )because she had grown them herself, and we could not leave them at home to die...). Lots of cricut on this. Title means "little gardener", and I cut it with Lyrical letters (capital I think). The branches are from Home accents (love that cart, but never remember that I have it, so I hardly ever use it...a shame really... must definitly do something about that!!)

The caterpillar, watering can and butterfly all from Pooh &friends.

Have also used a fiskars edge punch, cute snail paper from Panduro,
retro flower punch and misc flowers.

Skissedilla #42

Denne veka si skisse på skissedilla. Denne gangen klarte eg jammen å bli ferdig innen fristen! Uke 2 2010, LO nr. 2 2010 - fortsatt optimist. Beklager at bildet er så dårlig, men kamera og blitz var begge deler tomt for batteri, så bildet er tatt med mobil i heller dårlig lys...

Bildene er av min lille blidkar Peter Olai 2 måneder gammel. Papirer er fra MME, tittel er cricut "Base camp" og det lille flyikonet og flyet fra cricut "New arrival". Diverse knapper fra restane etter besten sin butikk og masse drodling med kvit sakura penn.

2010 er i gang - på tide at eg også kommer i gang :o)

Denne LOen var meint å vere bidrag til skissedilla #41, men vart aldri ferdig i tide... Er likevel godt fornøgd med å ha fått laga en LO i veke 1 og håper på å rekke en også i veke 2. Målet burde absolutt vere 52 LOer i løpet av året. SKal ikkje legge press på meg sjølv enda, men kan no halde tellinga her iallfall.

LO#1 i 2010 er av barnehagebildet til Konstanse i fjor vår, tatt av fotograf Mats Jensaas i Bodø. Har brukt bazill craft som bakgrunn, og vanilla som kontrast. Ellers Martha Stewart doily lace punch, tittel fra cricut "Lyrical letters", skyer og blomsterbukett fra cricut "Pooh & Friends", rub-ons fra basic grey (trur eg) og crate paper.

First Layout in 2010, a picture of Konstanse taken last spring. Title says Flower girl. Have used cricut (Pooh & Friends for skies and flowers, lyrical letters for title), Martha stewart doily lace punch and rub ons from basic grey and crate paper.

Fikk endelig gjort ferdig et kort til sukkersøtt-utfordringa igjen, denne gangen et rosa og turkis julekort. Stempel fra Magnolia fargelagt med Pro Markers, tekststempel fra Stempelglede, papirer er Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses. Har også brukt doily lace punchen fra Martha Stewart. Beklager litt dårlig bilde, men det er blitt mørkt her i nord og den eksterne blitzen er forsvunne i oppussingskaos...

Finally made the time to participate in your challenge again. We are redoing our kitchen, so I have escaped to my craft room in the basement every day this week, so finally have had more than enough time to make cards!

Papers on this card is from the scandinavian producer Panduro, stamp is Magnolia coloured with pro markers, and text stamp is from Papirloftet. Owl is from cricut Happily ever after and font is cricut lyrical letters.

Hello Kitty LO

LO av Konstanse og hennes Hello Kitty paraply. September var ekstremt regnfull i Bodø, men det bekymrer så klart ikkje en som har så fin paraply. Har brukt Hello Kitty Font cartridgen fra cricut til tittelen og dei søte Hello Kitty figurane. Regndråper og paraply er fra Pooh and friends.

This is Konstanse and her Hello Kitty umbrella. It was a VERY rainy september this year that is not a big problem when your umbrella looks this great!! That is also what the title says. Cuts are from Hello Kitty font cartridge (title and Hello Kittys) and Pooh and friends cartridge (umbrella and raindrops)
